TAFE Outreach programs are closely aligned to the Federal Social Inclusion Agenda ensuring NSW education is accessible to people who face barriers to learning including geographical and social isolation, language and cultural factors, financial hardship, lack of educational confidence, being unaware of opportunities to learn, a disability or family commitments.

TAFE Outreach in the Hunter work with and in communities around the Hunter region, providing education & training programs that offer individuals and group’s opportunities that develop confidence, communication and skills useful for further training & employment opportunities.
Hunter Outreach is showcasing two courses that provide skills that develop & enhance sustainable community development activities. These courses include the involvement of community service agencies as partners in determining the skills need audit of their communities and in linking their clients to the TAFE Outreach courses.
Working with communities and other agencies is a strong part of the Outreach program development and through this, Outreach units are able to provide accredited access training, learn & develop knowledge of specific skill sets & on their training journey, build their confidence of succeeding in TAFE training and looking toward meaningful employment in their future.
